Time Travelers Vintage Expo began in April 2022 as a local, monthly popup market with just 14 vendors in our hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. By August 2022 we hosted our 5th event at the legendary Cains Ballroom with 40 vendors. By the end of 2022, we transitioned to an annual event for Tulsa and began booking our first 5 out-of-town dates for 2023. We expanded to 12 cities in 2024 and have amassed over 97k followers across our social media platforms. For 2025, we’ll visit 16 cities from coast to coast.
A word from TTVE founder, Sarah Frick:
“This show has allowed me to combine all of my passions into one glorious labor of love; vintage, event planning, graphic design, community, and sustainability. My dream is to offer our vendors the opportunity to travel with us across the country and grow their businesses from new audiences. For our attendees, we’re honored to offer an alternative to shopping fast fashion and an introduction to artists and curators they may not have found otherwise. In the age of online everything, connecting in person is so important.
I have been a vintage lover and vintage seller since I was 15 years old, starting out as a wee fashion blogger in the 2000s. After high school, I worked at a local vintage store in Tulsa called Cheap Thrills. Shortly after, I moved to San Diego and joined the team at the iconic Flashbacks Recycled Fashion, where I became manager and lead buyer over the course of two years. At 23, I moved back home and began selling vintage on etsy while waiting tables during the day and bartending at night. During this time, I decided to go back to school and get my degree in Digital Media, all while playing in various rock bands and hosting music events. Through my vintage business, I vended every pop up and flea market under the sun. While sitting at many of these events, I kept thinking to myself, “I could do this so much better…” Thus, Time Travelers was born.
I could not have built this show on my own and I’m eternally grateful to my incredible husband Jesse for being such a wonderful partner in business and life, my parents for working ticketing when we needed extra help, my sister Sawyer for running our social media accounts, and our friends Garon & Marissa for being the best crew/travel companions we could ask for. Our event is completely DIY. We don't have corporate sponsors or a trust fund backing. We have built this show up from nothing and it is so beautiful to watch!
To everyone who has supported us by attending our event- THANK YOU. To all of our amazing vendors- there would be no show without you. Thank you for bringing the magic.”
