Tulsa Time

Time Travelers launched in April 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, founded by Sarah Frick with just 14 vendors and a craving for community in a post-covid world. What started as a monthly local market quickly grew into a large scale event. By August 2022, just the fifth show, Time Travelers had landed at the iconic Cains Ballroom in Tulsa with 40 vendors. In 2023, TTVE established an annual Tulsa date and added five out-of-town shows, bringing independent vintage and handmade vendors to new cities across the country.

THE FOUNDER

Sarah Frick - A vintage industry veteran.

Sarah’s path to founding Time Travelers began long before the first market was booked. She started her vintage career as a young fashion blogger in the mid 2000s and then went to work at Cheap Thrills Vintage in Tulsa, developing an eye for quality pieces and the magic of historical preservation.

After a west coast run with her band, she moved to California and became the manager and lead buyer at the iconic San Diego mainstay, Flashbacks Recycled Fashion. Her role at Flashbacks sharpened her understanding of sustainable sourcing and the business of vintage at scale. When she returned to Tulsa, she channeled that expertise into selling on Etsy and pursued a degree in Digital Media, learning the tangible skills of how to build an audience and a brand in the modern world.

In 2022, Sarah combined everything she had learned and built Time Travelers Vintage Expo from the ground up with her husband Jesse, her family, and a a few friends pitching in to make the independent show a reality. The mission was simple, create a welcoming, beautifully curated space where independent vintage sellers and creators could thrive.

Time Travelers Vintage Expo now visits 19 cities from coast to coast, connecting vintage enthusiasts and passionate vendors all under one roof, for an annual event they won’t forget.
